The PRI - Principles for Responsible Investment - project is calling on stakeholders and investors to take part in a series of initiatives it will be carrying out through out 2016 to mark its 10th anniversary. These will be reviewing its progress in getting responsible investing more accepted by mainstream investors worldwide and asking for comments to shape the future direction of the responsible investment industry and the organisation.

There will be global signatory and stakeholders surveys; the publication of an independent evaluation of the PRI’s impact; and two major consultations on signatory accountability and potential revisions to the six Principles themselves.

In addition to anniversary conferences in New York in April, London in June and Singapore in September, the PRI will host more than 20 regional workshops, roundtables and webinars to gather feedback. Details will be added to the PRI events page as they are confirmed and further details on the consultations will be published on its website.

The United Nations-backed PRI is an international network of investors working together to implement the six Principles for Responsible Investment. Its goal is to understand the implications of sustainability for investors and support signatories to incorporate these issues into their investment decision making and ownership practices. The Principles are voluntary and aspirational offering a menu of possible actions for incorporating environmental, social and governance issues into investment practices across asset classes. They are designed to be compatible with the investment styles of large, diversified, institutional investors that operate within a traditional fiduciary framework.
